Meet Macchiato

Affectionately known as Macchi this must be the snootiest llama that I have ever known! His superior air and snooty ways have rightly given him the title as the Adonis of Llamas!!!! We even caught him looking at his own reflection in the window one day!

We chose Macchiato when he was a cria (baby llama) and the flashes of oranges, browns and creams made him an easy choice even just by seeing a photo of him, it was love at first sight! Every time I go near him to try to steal a kiss, I get a look of complete and utter disgust and I am sure I heard him say, “How dare you come near me, peasant woman you!!”

Macchi has a unique way about him and when visitors come here and brush and walk him, he is of course a complete gentleman and an absolute flirt!!!! Angel is convinced that he does it to make me jealous and I think she might be right!!!! This adorable llama has a fabulous nature, stunning features and he looks like a big silly camel when he runs!!!! All neck and legs as he camels along!

He loves eating of course, much like his younger brother Maxwell!!! I guess these leggy boys have more to fill!

However, he has a very odd fondness for the holly bushes within the woodland and tends to use them as a giant back scratcher and he doesn’t seem to mind whether anyone is attached to his lead rein!!!
